I'm a graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I studied Film and Animation in the hopes of production educational children's shows when I graduated, and instead entered into the field of adult learning. My first job out of college allowed me to combine my animation, motion graphics, filming, editing, and storytelling skills with adult learning prinicples and eLearning development to produce engaging and entertaining training modules for project management certification.
I then moved to a plasma engineering company to help develop their digital training program from scratch. We eventually expanded the team to accomodate the increasing workload and importance of the training program for our Channel Partners and Customers. I hired on new associates and became a team leader to train, develop, and drive strategic growth and training initatives within the company.
I'm happy to work in a field where I can combine my creative skills (which encompasses everything from website design and code, animation, film, and graphics development) with my passion for learning and developing others. I enjoy working with people and watching them grow, as well as encouraging their interests and dreams. I also am highly experienced in data analysis to track team and initiative KPIs and report out on overall successes and failures.
My personal hobbies focus on a healthy outdoor lifestyle in the mountains. I love hiking, kayaking, river floats, and more. Supporting local farm CSAs are also a lot of fun as I learn to cook new types of food and support local agriculture. I'm also an avid reader and enjoy studying any topic that piques my interest at the time.
